My heart and eyes are crying right now for my dear friend Monica and her family. I woke up this morning to a phone call from my mom telling me that the Garland family had been in a bad car wreck. I hung up the phone and called Mons cell, thankfully she had it on in the hospital. We only exchanged tears and I was on my way to Halifax to see what was going on. I was relieved just to hear her voice and know she wasn't hurt. After finding her in ICU she told me that her sister didn't make it she was still on life support to see if her organs could be donated. Long story short Sam had cancer 15 years ago but hopefully some good will come from all of this. I can't imagine losing my sister. Her mom and youngest brother are still both in ICU. They will make it through. Her mom's arm was smashed and she went through a 5 hr. surgery last night to save it, praise God. Alex her brother was 1/8 of a mm short of being paralized from a severed someting in his neck, praise God he will probably get of of ICU tomorrow. Please pray, I have a big chance to shed some light; pray for courage and graceful words. And pray that the family can see God's love.

Repentance
Simply put this has been on my mind a lot lately and I'm sitting down to take in the goodness of God. It's crazy that I serve a God who sees me through the the stupid, cares for me in the unknown and yet loves me through it all. I woke up with a egar attitude to get things like student loans, classes and stuff like that off my brain but God keeps amaizing me and putting things in my way to make the issue of repentance more important. It started yesterday with seeing this cartoon that I though was soooo true (esp. with the church where I attend --"testomony time" in the evenings can get a little out of hand)

then that got me to thinking about how much of a critic I really am and at least those people seem to be standing up with some intention. I don't even have the intention most days to review and repent. This is the ultimate ADD bunny trail.
Somehow I ended up finding about a new plant in Halifax (while I was avoiding everything else) and really quickly I learned that this site is a part of what my old pastor Steve Hiltz has been doing for the last 5 years. As I continued to look over their site I came to an extremly honest blog on repentance of all things. I really encourage you to check it out. Turns out I know these people who are doing this church plant in Halifax, I really been disconnected from them and had no idea thir plant was this far along-even though I have been praying for thir work. God is crazy and MIGHTY! I leave it at Amen to Brad's blog. Sweet encouragement indeed.

Bits and Bites
*I love the new car smell. My sister bought a new car and I think I could live in it! If I had the money I would buy one just to sniff it.
* I read an article this morning by the amazing D. Willard, I love his stuff. Actually, he's made a bigger geek out of me. It was long but encouraging on the area of Spiritual formation and the evangelical church.
*I'm going to the island this week; can't wait to see people I care about.
*Please pray for Harmony; she's my cousins daughter who is being care for by my aunt and uncle. My heart aches for her little 2 year old soul. She's precious. My aunt stopped by the store where I work with her over the weekend and as they left I went to help a another customer when I heard her say "but I wanna tiss her". So I ran out and and gave her a "tiss". Too cute.
*I've just been introduced to endless.com, shoes and handbags online by Amazon. What could be better?
*My brother, sister and I got the spend a whole day together at the cottage last week. We did nothing exciting just hanging out and being lazy; it was a blast! Jeff started talking about how much we hate this old swing thing and decided something must be done. Here's what happened....

My parents came up to visit after supper and got the hint. We won and the swing is now a resident of the local dump.
I must stop procrastinating and go clean or do something productive!

Joy Juice Update
One of the greatest things about being back in the mother land is the coffee. Americans butcher coffee in every way from the flavour to the $4 they charge. Now the ol faithful Tims is rising prices every is lamenting about the few cents difference. Get over it, prices always go up and it will never be as bad here as trying to support the habbit on the other side of the border.
